Yes. Every piece is designed for comfortable everyday wear – walks, time at home, sleeping, being around family and friends. Our designs are tested in everyday life by Miso, our miniature Dachshund, and her friends. In the situations where you would take off your own jewellery – intense activity, swimming, rough play – take the necklace off as well, for safety and for longevity.

Safety sits at the centre of every design. Every dog necklace has a built-in safety mechanism: the clasp and ring open under pressure, so if your dog ever gets caught or snagged, the ring releases and the beads stay intact. The closing elements can be sent back to us for repair. Materials are chosen to sit comfortably against fur and skin. As with any jewellery, supervise your dog while wearing it, check regularly for wear or loosening parts, and stop using the piece if anything is damaged. Full details in our Care & Safety guide.

Take it off for intense physical activity, swimming and water play, rough play with other dogs, and any situation where the piece could catch on something. It is also not suitable for puppies or for dogs that chew jewellery. More in our Care & Safety guide.

Yes – that is exactly how it is meant to be worn. maison miso jewellery complements everyday gear rather than replacing it. It is not a collar or a restraint device, and a leash should never be attached to it. Keep the functional gear functional and let the jewellery be jewellery.

Measure your dog's neck where a collar would normally sit, using a soft tape measure – snug but not tight, with room for two fingers underneath. Choose the size closest to that measurement. Our dog necklaces come in sizes from 18 to 40 cm in 2 cm steps, so there is a size that fits rather than one that roughly fits. If you land exactly between two sizes, write to us with the measurement before you order and we will tell you which one we would choose. Full measuring guide.

Our necklaces come in 38, 42 and 46 cm. 38 sits close to the collarbone, 42 falls just below, and 46 sits lower and layers easily with what you already wear. All three lengths are the same price.

You can return or exchange your order within 14 days of receipt, as long as the piece is unused and comes back in its original packaging. Full conditions. If you are unsure before ordering, ask us – that is easier for everyone than a return.

A thick layer of solid gold mechanically bonded to a base metal. It is considerably more durable and longer-lasting than gold plating or vermeil, which makes it well suited to pieces worn regularly – and dog jewellery sees more movement than most. More on our materials.

Yes, natural gemstones and freshwater pearls throughout, alongside Japanese Miyuki seed beads. Some stones in our PLAY line are colour-enhanced jade – a common and stable treatment, and we say so rather than calling it something it is not.

Because it is a different piece. Every necklace is assembled by hand from natural stones, and no two stones carry the same pattern, tone or depth of colour. The photo shows one piece, yours is another. If something looks wrong rather than simply different, write to us and we will sort it out.

Keep it away from salt water, sand, chlorine, perfume and chemicals, avoid extreme temperatures, and wipe it gently with a soft cloth after wear. Store it dry and flat rather than tangled. Full care instructions.

We usually ship the next business day. Within Switzerland your order then normally arrives one day later. To the EU and the UK expect 2–4 business days, internationally 4–9 business days. Yes, within 14 days of receipt. The piece needs to be unused and returned in its original packaging. Gift cards cannot be returned. Full return process and conditions.

If a manufacturing defect appears within two years of purchase, send the piece back to us. We repair it in our atelier and return it to you at our expense. The warranty covers production faults, not damage from improper use – such as using the jewellery as a collar or restraint. Full terms.
